Welcome to No Trash No Trace!

My name is Tori and I am relatively new to the Zero Waste Movement. I live in the beautiful Berkshires of Western Massachusetts and I am still currently in the process of transitioning into a more sustainable and conscientious lifestyle.

There are a lot of  things that have led me to this point but the real moment of change for me was my study abroad experience in the Dominican Republic during my junior year of college. During my semester abroad I worked closely with children whose lives have been severely impacted by trash. My experiences made me feel completely helpless and upon returning to the United States I knew that there had to be something that I could do to make more of a difference for those kids and other people like them, whether directly or indirectly. Then one day while scrolling through the internet I stumbled across an article about the Zero Waste movement and from that moment on I was hooked. But more importantly, I was empowered.

Is creating waste ethical? Moral? My experiences with those most affected by large concentrations of waste have convinced me beyond a reasonable doubt that it is not. To read more about my experiences in the Dominican Republic read Moment of Change.

Here I’ll share with you some of the ways I’ve changed my life-style to live more conscientiously and hopefully inspire you to do the same! Keep exploring to learn more!
